iPhone 6s for Youtube?

I've Got It
What do you guys think about the upcoming iphone 6s? Supposedly it has a 12MP camera that shoots in 4k. Do you think it would be good for youtube? How about some of the competition, like the Galaxy S6 edge+, or the LG G4, they also shoot in 4k, and have 16MP I believe.

I'm using the iphone 5 for now, and my contract will expire soon. I want to upgrade my phone and I think it makes sense to get the one with the best camera for now. If my channel gets bigger, I will just go out a buy a good camera later.

I honestly HATED using an iphone to record. As soon as I got a camera (with a flipping lcd screen) it made my life SO MUCH easier. If it was me, I would keep my old phone, and save up for a DSLR.

I do any non GoPro videos with my iPhone 6. The quality is really good for a phone, I'd imagine the 6s is much better.

I looked at some of your videos. The quality on the GoPro is significantly better in my opinion. I think the iPhone is ok when it's stationary. The thing I don't like about the GoPro is the wide lens effect, it works for some videos but not for what I'm trying to do. Is there a way to disable it? I'll still get the iphone 6s, but I think maybe I should just buy a camera anyway.

I have software called Prodrenaline Prodad that takes away the fisheye effect, it costs about $40. I think I used it in my latest ostrich race video

I just saw a new video from Casey Neistat called "iPhone 6S Video Test 4k!" That men knows how to sell a product better than the entire marketing team at Apple. I want to get the new iPhone soo much now!! :)
(it's a video shot by the new iPhone and it looks really good in my opinion)

iPhones are great if you have spot on lighting or you're outdoors but due to the small sensor its limited for indoors or low light - I use my iPhone regularly when lighting is good

The iPhone 6S is capable of shooting in 4K at 60fps, depending on your lighting, shot composition and DoF, you should technically be able to achive great results.

If you're going to buy it anyway, just take it for a test run and see what you can get out of it. If not, a DSLR would be you're next step.
