Iphone 4s Recording

The actual 4S camera is really good and capable of recording HD video, so all you'd need to do is figure out a way to set it up and record yourself. Since it has auto-focus that shouldn't be an issue either. Now, I'm not sure if something like this exists or not but if you could somehow access your iphone camera through your computer, and then see yourself on the computer screen as it records that would be really helpful for you as well.

sorry long reply but.. yeah I was able to download a free app during' free app of the day' It was a recording app that normally costs 2 or 3 pounds and its perfect. I have ordered a tripod so now... we wait. But, thanks for the hints and tips guys :D :D

I used my iPhone 4s camera for over half of my videos and thought it looked pretty decent for what it was. My problem was with the audio in it, but it didn't matter much since I was overlaying my own music over it. :p

Smartphone cameras aren't really that bad these days, but the iPhone 5 camera does look a bit better than the iPhone 4S.

Same here - a good chunk of my videos were with an iPhone, before I purchased a DSLR.
Bear in mind you can get iPhone mic adapters, which allow you to attach a standard lapel mic (the small clip on ones that TV presenters etc wear) to your iPhone and it gives excellent quality!

yeah I have a mic that went on my gaming headset, it was also able to plug in to my iphone and pick up the sound really well.

Yeah I've used my Ipod for it, it really isn't worth buying a whole other camera for it. If you're going to use the front camera make sure the lighting is good.
