Investing in youtube?

has anyone just bought props for their youtube channel? like its only purpose is your videos? maybe a voice changer, maybe actual props, because i plan to spend over 500 dollars on props in the upcoming future for some video stuff, just wondering how that went.

Frozen armadillo. I am gonna have nightmares.

Bought me a wig tho. $15 well spent, loves. It's sparkly and actually fits my damn head. That's all. Unless you count the webcam then that's a whole different deal. Still, under $100 well spent.

there's a few ways to look at it i suppose.. financially, it'd be nice to be sure you're gonna make the money back from the video to pay for the prop, but thats pretty tough at first. second is personal satisfaction. I bought some new video software that wasn't entirely necessary but still helped me put together a better looking video than i could have with free software.

I treat youtube like a hobby though, so i only spend as much on videos as i would on any other hobby. i'll have a million subs soon though, so i'll take it a bit more seriously then!

Yeah I haven't really invested much at all for YouTube.. However I bought a camera a few years ago which I used for a few videos on a channel which was closed a long time ago.

I guess I can't post a link to the video, but if you search "symphonious7 can't take it" everything in that video was bought for the video. A light projector, glow in the dark jewelry, a boa, the only thing I already had was the little touchy lightning screen thingy, everything else I bought at party city, just for the video.

So far the only thing i've bought just for youtube is my mic. Which cost about $150.00

I've recently bought very expensive camera, some new pots and pans, measuring cups, etc. I'll be buying better lighting and a new lens next month. I've also purchased a few books. I want to continually up the quality of my videos.[DOUBLEPOST=1405141599,1405141577][/DOUBLEPOST]
