Intel vs AMD

It is best for youtubers to use an Intel processer for video editing. AMD cpus are weak in performance, but the graphics performance is superior.

Intel cpus are divided into many categories :
Pentium and Celeron are very weak. Do not use them.
Intel i3 processors are great for making videos, but not at a very professional level. Windows movie maker is good for that. The cpu has two cores and four threads.

i5 cpus have four cores.

i7 cpus have four cores two threads each. They are the highest consumer cpus.

xeon cpus are only for servers.

Meh, I really don't like Intel. I don't think that AMD cpu's are weak, and they are priced better than Intel.

Not sure.. I would probably choose the one that would reduced my render times the most. From what I have been told, an i7 can render a 1080p video about 20% faster than an i5 with hyperthreading. I have an i5.. so I'd have to upgrade my mother board if I want to use i7, since my current motherboard isnt hte right socket :(. I have not used AMD in probably 10+ years, so I can't really say anything about it ;s.

i like amds price:performace ratio a lot better....i stick with amd mostly but really i get the best performing processor for the money i have to spend no matter if its amd or intel

In gaming the AMD does well, but when video editing is your main thing a i7 Intel is where you need to be. But, it all has to do with the time you are rendering, most current processors do well in editing alone.
