Instagram trying to compete with YouTube

I don’t see IGTV working out for newbies. It doesn’t reach as many people as you’d think . As a matter of fact it only reaches your current followers .

Lmao. It's no competition. It'll be more for stupid vines or videos of people falling over or crashing into things. Not actual editted content.
 
I already started getting ContentID matches from Instagram, so people are already freebooting there. The matches are only up to 1 minute, not the whole videos, but I hate to say it that I was right in my previous post.
 
Since it only can be upload in vertical format, I doubt it can really even compete and outgrow YouTube that quickly. Not much different from their previous Snapchat rip-off status videos. I thought this things can compete with YouTube but once I try to look into it. It basically pretty much Vines 2.0. At least Vines have the tendency to let new users grow since any people can look up at any recent new videos posted from new users. This one only reach out to your current followers you had. If you start with 0 followers, there basically nothing for you in your videos anyway.

I never thought about it like this. The only issue is the ability to share a short video. There isn't really a share function on Instagram so it won't reach asany people as possible.

Yeah, maybe they will add sharing later.
 
hmm, I've been hearing about it recently but haven't really gotten the time to look deeper into it. But it sounds like it has the potential to actually compete with youtube sometime in the future maybe? weather you like it or hate it, If it truly has the possibility of competing with youtube, I think it's a good thing. It's about time youtube gets a worthy competitor.

Well!!! in my opinion, i dont think its a competition thing! they all got their place and fit into different compartments.... they both have different purposes and interest in heart....i dont think they are competing any way ,,, they both thrive on their vision and purpose of existence.
