I upload gaming videos in my channel and I have an instagram account, so I am wondering in my instagram do I need to post about games I play and so on and forth, or should it be more about me or can it be both?

From what I've seen from popular YouTube channels is they promote their vids either with a short clip of it or they post pictures about their personal life. I think most of them use it to show their personal life. Like selfies or what you're doing that day, etc. It's really w/e you want to show your viewers. I wouldn't spend too much time there unless you have a decent following on YouTube already. Same with all social media sites though.
