I've Got It
It just frustrates me. why sub to a channel if youre not gonna be active once in a while it makes no sense. the people who do that probably think "oh im just subbing that will definitely make the youtuber feel like their effort is worth it." but of course thats not the case. in my opinion what makes us feel like our effort is worth it is the subscribers actually giving feedback. watching the videos. liking the videos. showing their support.
 
Everyone has inactive subs. People loose interest and stop watching without unsubscribing. It's normal. I'm sure you have been subscribed to people who you don't watch anymore.

I'm subscribed to over 200 channels, but I don't watch nearly all that content. I maybe watch 10-20 people actively.
 
It just happens, quite a lot of people sub as a way of saying "Ohh, I liked his video...I watch his other ones later" and quite a lot of people don't end up returning.
 
I think that if you make different kind of videos, some people might subscribe to one they like and not watch anymore until you upload another one of that kind.

Thats when subscribing to playlists will come in handy (I think).
 
Like the guys above said, dead subs are a part of the game and you cant avoid them. People sub for whatever the reason and then never return. As long as you can maintain a active subscriber base and people are commenting thats about all you can hope for.
 
I'm an inactive sub as well as having plenty of them myself. I am subbed to over 200 channels and there is no way I have time to watch them all. I do watch here and there on occasion but I've fallen very far behind because I just can't keep up - especially with everyone posting daily videos these days. :/
 
Dead subs are pretty common, but the idea that 50% or more are dead is indeed ridiculous.
