In top 5 SEO search on certain keywords, views go up with no more advertising!

I've got a yen for being in Japan!
So I made a video and I did some research and made a video on something that hadn't been done much, the few that did were not well done. I tried to make the best video as possible and it actually took off! I pushed it a little bit on the release day but that was 2 weeks ago and I have not since. It's slowly but gradually accumulating views! The range has been a steady number for 13 days! Exciting!

So my question is once a video reaches the top 20, 10, 5, 1 do the views just keep coming? What makes the search rank go up and down? How does a new video with no views enter the top 20?
 
If the people keep searching that particular thing it should stay constant with views. I had a Call of Duty video that informed people of a hack that got 2nd in the search results for it. It was on the new map packs so was very current and has since been patched. But when the map pack got released on PC and Xbox one at a later date it spiked again.

I translated the in game texts of luigis mansion arcade from Japanese to English which had never been done before. Now the game will come out in English this summer, which I didn't know but I'm sure once it does there will be another spike. Which is cool and exciting. I read a lot about SEO and "be original" inspiration talks and I guess I did the trick at least this time!
 
I used to get 10 views very slowly, now I get 30 views very slowly. It means my every video is above 10+ views. Constant views come once we stay consistent and promoting our video. SEO helps, we just need to tag properly.
 
Yea I hear ya. It just needs to find its place and start growing on its own! I guess poor seo video just gets lost
 
It depends if that video topic is being searched by people, and if your content is good. I guess it will keep on picking up the views.
