In need of smart people help

Ok, so I am not the most tech savvy. I am the first to admit that. I do try real hard though.

I shoot with a sony handycam and use windows live movie maker to edit. (very low tech I know but I am working with what I got)

Everything was going fine. I was happy with the product and then I think I may have monkeyed with some camera settings maybe and now some of my videos are uploading with a black box framing them... I have NO clue what I did or why it is on some but not all...

Does anyone have any ideas?

I promise I am not fishing for views but you can follow the link to my channel to see what I am talking about when I say a black box is framing some of the videos...

PLEASE HELP! It looks SO BAD!!!

probably your aspect ratio or resolution settings. I'm not familiar with that program though. Google it....

I think its Windows Movie Maker that makes the black border around the video.
When you edit on WMM, it'll automatically add a black border.
I'm pretty sure that this is the reason, but not too familiar with it so you're gonna have to do some more research on that. I'm sure it won't be a hard solution, a few changes in the setting should do but like I said, not too familiar with it.
On the top bar, there's a heading for "Project". Try switching between "Widescreen" and "Standard".
If anything, this could work too.

And make sure the resolution is made to fit for the video.

Use videopad <--- to edit, what you see is what you get, no supprises when you hit render.

You're a genius! It's fixed!!!

Thank you all so much! @UncomPeted for your interest and thoughtful advise!

And @Sinc i will look into that!

Now i am just trying to decide if i should go back and resave and reupload the few with the dreaded box... how annoying do yall find it?
