Important Copyright Claim Question

I have a really important question about a copyright claim. I uploaded these two Life is Strange videos about a month or so ago and I got a copyright claim for some of the songs in it. A lot of people have had this happen and in more recent episodes I recorded I edited out the songs before I uploaded them.

YouTube has a "remove the song" feature which I think is great, but the audio quality of my video drops significantly.

My question: If I left it alone will this affect me getting a partnership in the near future? What would be my best course of action? Thank you in advance!

Is it the game music that got the copyright infringement or your own music that you added? And what network has put out the copyright claim on the video?

I think remove song option on youtube works on 1h30min videos and below only, longer than that will get rejected for that option. "My question: If I left it alone will this affect me getting a partnership in the near future?" - It won't unless network specifies that you need to remove them. In general it's not healthy for you or network to have such videos since they do not bring any income (and thats what matters for network the most).

It's in game music

I'm going to try the "remove a song option" and if that doesn't work I'll just delete the videos all together. Thank you!

Ah that is really sucky, you can try to argue with them but I doubt there's much you can do since those companies own the music in the game. What I tend to do is drop the music in all my games down and add my own background music, like if I leave the radio on whilst driving a car in GTA V I'd get a copyright notice for the song that was playing. Most of the time they don't bother with it I think you got quite unlucky.

Every since I got those claims I've been doing that, I don't want to take any chances lol. I heard a lot of Let's Players were having trouble with Life is Strange because of the Copyright claims. Thank you!

No problem hope you manage to sort it somehow.

It shouldn't affect your ability for a partnership in the future, most networks understand that Content ID matches do happen nowadays and it's not as if you're reuploading full length movies or full copyrighted songs to your channel and titling them that way.

If you don't want them there so you can monetize them, you can audioswap them which might screw up how your video sounds, or just remove them entirely.

If I were you, I would just leave them there.
