When I started my YT channel it was for fun and I posted RAW out of the camera. Last year YT introduced some editing options on YT directly which I used and the videos got a bit better with more flow. In November I moved to iMovie when I did the move from freaking Windows to MAC and I got many more options. But shortly after that I already came into the limitations of iMovie (I do car shootings and driving scenes for luxury super cars) and I feel I need to upgrade to FCPX soon as iMovie is limiting me in what I want to do with my video footage and it's just not possible with iMovie. But the price tag of $ 299.99 it's not cheap for software.
Another thing is as Tylor already mentioned, I am not sure how my MBA/13"/8GB RAM/1.8 GHz i5/128GB SSD will handle FCPX and I rather would like to get the fully specced 27'iMac/32GB RAM/3.4 GHz i7/NVIDIA GeForce 2GB graphics card/3TB Fusion Drive. The iMac would blast down with full speed any rendering, even with FCPX, but my MBA (as great as this machine is) takes already 15 min. for a 2-3 min. 1080p Video to render.
Not sure.
Question though, if I get FCPX for my current MBA and if I can get the iMac a few months or up to max. 12 months down the line, can i download FCPX for the iMac again for free as I already bought it once?
Thanks.
