If you want to stay on a mac, Final Cut Pro (not X, please don't get X, it's an abomination) is an excellent editing software.Totally true ! i used to play around with vegas then i got mac and got more comfortable with it but if you are looking for more options and complexity then i should say vegas too![]()
Huh, I find the UI of Vegas to be alright though... Just personal preference though. I do think I should try out Premiere, it looks cool. Also another downside of Vegas... THE INCOMPREHENSIBLE, RANDOM CRASHES. D=Neither. I hate both equally. iMovie because it can do nothing of what I need (it comes free with Macs, I have no room to b***h here) and Vegas because it's a s****y app overall. Adobe master race! But if I had to pick, I'd use Vegas because I could bear through the intolerable UI to do what I need.

Damn you found my secret... I'll see what I can do with my limited funds XDWell the first time I had tried Vegas I had been using a mixture of PP, FCP 7 and FCP X, all of which have UIs levels beyond Vegas. So I was semi spoiled. Plus, I genuinely dislike the app in general.
PS: If you buy it it doesn't crash. Then again, don't waste the money and get PP![]()
