I'm very new at all this..

Well, I don't think the question is "am I doing it right?", because there really isn't a clear-cut way to do videos. For example: Look at the differences between someone like TotalBiscuit vs someone like Pewdiepie. Both primarily play games on their channels, but they have wildly different styles of videos.

My advice would be to figure out your own style, try to think up original ideas for videos, and don't just try and follow what other youtubers do, or you'll likely get buried in the sea of copycats.
