I'm using Camtasia... is it possible to do rewind?

There are two options I don't seem to find while using camtasia, that's simply having a rewind feature, doing a slowmotion scene backwards. I also don't seem to find a 'invert color' feature, these seem pretty basic. Is camtasia missing these features altogether?

Any other free or cheap alternatives to do these two simple things?

I'm considering to use that rewind feature for my outro (20 seconds), so don't feel like buying a super expensive sony vegas only for this.

Any help appreciated!
 
Maybe try Snagit, it is also made by techsmith I think. I stopped using Camtasia because it had low quality for me. I use iMovie but idk if your Mac or Windows..
 
I'm using Windows. Camtasia had an update like last year I think, it now supports 1080p, and seems to be a lot smoother.

I guess I could 'record' my screen while dragging the video timer backwards? But that seems to be an annoying way of recording a playback xD

that's cheapest method I have heard of, do that and add some sound effects and done eh
 
Problem with that is that the sound won't be played back, it will be a silent playback then... which isn't as fun.

I looked up that snagit... it just says it can record the screen and you can easily edit it with basic tools, and easily share/upload... does it even feature a playback/rewind?
 
I used to use Camtasia and I do not recall this feature, I too wanted to rewind video once. I've moved on to Premiere Pro CC now, which is far better than Camtasia.

How much is it?

With other software like microphones I can always sell my original microphone to do an upgrade. However, buying a multi hundred dollars software like camtasia I have to really think twice to buy a new software (that basically does the same thing).

Quite expensive. You can pay monthly or buy it outright if I remember correctly.
