I'm not growing and I don't know why... (Channel Review)

I've been doing YouTube for a year now (since March 25, 2015) but growth has been TERRIBLE. I currently only have 31 subscribers but then I see channels that started in October that are already in the hundreds :(

So I ask for whoever reads this: please give me constructive criticism on my channel because at this point I have absolutely no clue on what to do.

I ask if you can please check out my branding, channel pictures, organization, and intros. Please look at some of my videos and try and pick out problems I can fix.

AND I REPEAT I WANT CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM but whoever decides to help me with this God Bless you and thank you for your time :)

Are you tagging everything correctly? What time of day do you usually upload your vids? Your thumbnails look good and your audio sounds fine so im really surprised that you only have 31 subs.

Okay, prepare for a long list of paragraphs because we gonna' fix dis shizzle.

When I am going through your channel, I see a ton of videos which are longer than 20 minutes. Nearly no one watches a 20 minutes video anymore. People want stuff to be concise. If you made a 24 minutes video JUST talking about your growth problem, you really need to think about your commentary. I work on my audio for too long. My audio takes about an hour to 2 hours of filming and editing. That is because I eliminate all the breaths I take, all the silence I have from time to time, all the background noise and any points where I just repeat myself or w/e. So my point is, get to the point. State a point then explain it. Do not explain the same thing for 5 minutes. People do not like repetition. They do not appreciate silence for too long. It is way too boring for them.

I did not really look at your channel much, but I would really suggest that you do more collabs. Collaborations help small Youtubers. It would help you to start growing very slowly.

However, you have been Youtubing for a YEAR, and that means that there is something wrong with your videos. The MAIN problem is as simple as... Why are your videos of any importance to me? People watch videos on Youtube for entertainment or learning. You clearly are not teaching anything, so you are entertaining your audience. However, all I see is just some casual gameplay. I am naturally REALLY hard to impress. A comedy video is the hardest to make me laugh, and entertainment in gaming is mainly... comedy. Now, comedy is one of the ways to entertain audience, and it is one of the really few as you are in the gaming industry. Play a game in front of a camera for the sack of just playing it... won't be enough. I would rather go watch PewDiePie or Jackfrags or Matimio or LevelCap or any of the bigger YouTubers playing whatever game you are playing. So why do I subscribe to you? Why should I leave those bigger YouTubers and clamp onto your channel? Personally, I would only do that if I find someone's content entertaining. Or if you are planning to make commentary videos with some reviews and your personality and opinion about stuff. Then your opinion better be really good and your commentary has to be awesome.

I find myself looking at other channels, which have way worse content than me and one even started at the same time as me. However, they got 750 subs or something. That really annoys me, but then I know that they did sub4sub, grew inappropriately. That specific guy has 750 subs but his videos at max gets 300 views. While 300 views sounds awesome. He is never going to go somewhere. Some of bigger channels (People who actually found success, in the 100 thousands) had previous channels where they sub4subed and what not. They got to 3000 subs and some good numbers. But they ended up terminating their channel. Why? Because they realized that they are not going anywhere. Growing inappropriately will NEVER get you above the 10K mark. I never saw any channel, growing inappropriately going above that mark. I am saying this to try my best and discourage you from growing inappropriately. However, as much as I TERRIBLY hate to say this. You can try to sub4sub to get to 50 subs JUST to get the ball rolling. But again, you won't get anywhere if you do not find a reason for your channel.

So, a quick recap. You need to have better commentaries and better engagement on your videos. You HAVE to set a reason for your channel. Personally, my channel has commentaries AND funny content. I first did some funny content, hooked some audience then I made some commentaries to show them my personality. Now I have 90 subs, who most of them are active because I was able to hook some audience and then show them an amazing personality. I would love it if you take a look on my channel and tell me if you actually like it. I might be exaggerating myself or something. I am not expecting a tall article like this one xD Just a short brief description of what you think :)

I hope that you find your way around this. Good luck man!
