I'm getting requests!

Congratulations! That is how you start your own community, do videos on their requests and you will gain loyal followers in return. Keep doing a great job!
Will do! I've still got a bunch of other requests in the past to do along with stuff I'd like to do. D:
Congrats! It's so cool getting people that are really interested in your content :'D
Thanks! The comments I've been getting on YouTube and Tumblr have been really positive, with an emphasis on my voice, which is really nice of them.
I just have to deliver then. :)
Congrats!! That means you are getting a fan base which is super cool! :bounce:
Thanks! I've even got people who are watching via notifications (i.e. watching me via notifications), I'm not exactly sure who they are. I just need to think of new ways to make more stuff. :)

Congratulations man! What amazing it is to see that people actually want to see their favourite songs from ya!
As a gaming channel I don't get any requests.. well.. what would they have to request anyways? xD
Thanks! And I mean, they could ask you to play certain games or what not or do a challenge video :p[DOUBLEPOST=1468267594,1468267510][/DOUBLEPOST]
Congratulations! That's great!

I get requests on my hair channel and my cooking channel all the time now. It's great, because it means I don't have to think up subjects most weeks. :)
I totally agree. It helps to add into a pool of ideas. :)[DOUBLEPOST=1468267631][/DOUBLEPOST]
Well done on getting requests, that's amazing! I get requests for Smarter in Seconds topics all the time and it's freakin' awesome. Congrats, honey!
Thanks! And I'm so glad that you're getting requests too! :)

That's great! Congratulations!

Now you need to decide how you're going to handle requests going forward. Are you going to do every request you get? All except ones you really dislike? Only ones you really like? And how frequently will you do requests? Whenever they come in? Only on certain days of the week? Do you want to use the fact that you take requests as part of the selling point of your channel? If you start doing them regularly, some people are going to become impatient if you don't do theirs right away, especially if you take a break from uploading. Do you have an idea of how you'll address this? Taking requests can be a good way to get people to subscribe.

Most of the videos on my channel were requested. I have the first line in the description of every video read: "I take requests! Please watch until the end and leave your idea in the comments." Being the first line in the description, it shows up under the video title in search results. I also have a comment on every video that reads: "I take requests! Please reply to this comment and suggest a song to ruin." The hope is that someone who doesn't quite want to watch my video might be enticed by the idea that I take requests and they can have a vote in what I put up and watch my video. If someone requests something, they'll naturally want to see the request when it is up. But since there is already a schedule for videos, I have to add it to the end of the list and they don't get it right away. This means they need to come back to my channel later to see their request done, which is an incentive to subscribe. People are generally more interested in something they have invested in, and a request is an investment. I do their request and figure out when the next available date is, then reply to their comment and tell them when it will be up. I also have a video schedule that shows what I'm going to publish, when, and who, if anyone, requested it. This video schedule can be gotten to by clicking the link on my main channel page and "About" page. I tell people this in a reply to their request. It's all to get people to remain interested in my channel.

That's how I handle requests. How are you going to?

That's how I handle requests. How are you going to?
I will definitely take requests and maybe I might do something creative with them instead of doing strictly to what they want, depending on what it is.

But I'll definitely try to get their requests to help me make more! :)
It also helps with making a community and actually making people very happy when I do these fandom requests.

Someone suggested something to me yesterday. He said that if you are doing a lot of requests for something and people will have to wait a while until you can get to theirs, set up an account on a freelance site and charge something like $5 for people to move to the front of the line. Interesting thought.
