YTtalk Mad
I upload some pretty unorthodox stuff on my personal channel, including drug related experiences and just stories of what's happened in my life. Anything from going to the ER to being sent off to Juvie to running away from home to working in the p**n industry when I was younger, etc. For the average person, this may be both entertaining and educational as I've lived through a fair amount of crazy things. I like to share my stories and it's usually just me talking, nothing explicit being shown. I feel like some of my videos are on the edge though, but I try and stay as much within the guidelines as possible. There's definitely a lot of bigger channels in some of the niches that I target that are allowed to post, for example PsychedSubstance with drugs.
I've been recently thinking of promoting my channel and focusing a lot on it, but I'm rather afraid of going viral. I've been featured earlier this year in the news and some viral sites such as Worldstar for a rather negative clip of me being inebriated. After reading the thousands of comments, most were negative and there were even death threats on there. I'd like to get in touch with some of the sites that wrote articles about me and I have some connections in the marketing world, however I feel like I'd be a prime target for false flagging.
The reason I'm so concerned about this is that I've been screwed over for thousands of dollars before when I ran large channels and I had the competition flagging every single one of my videos. Something as soft as twerking vines or models in bikinis could've been instantly taken down, and only after my network intervened WEEKS later did I get an apology from YouTube. I've dealt with over 20 accounts over the past few years on various platforms, anything from YouTube to Tumblr to Instagram where I was BANNED due to false reporting and only later did I receive apologies after contacting them CONSTANTLY. I felt so enraged I was very close to filing a lawsuit after one of my accounts was banned multiple times and one of those times being SIX months before getting apology emails from Instagram. So as you see, I have a lot of reasons to distrust social media platforms. My end goal for this personal channel is to get an agent and lawyer as fast as possible just for this account alone, however I'm not in a state where I can afford to do just that so quickly.
If I do go ahead with promotion, do you think my videos would be flagged down? Should I privatize all drug related videos until only after I get an agent? I've already had to block some trolls on my channel and I know if I were to go market my channel it'd receive some targeted hate. I'm especially afraid now after YouTube's demonetization announcement (although I knew why my videos had such low CPM all along). I'm not concerned so much about making money through YouTube, it's more like I just wish I could tell my full story without it being censored. Thanks!
