If You Owned YouTube, What Would You Change?

Okay, I would definitely go back to the old layout. And I think I really appreciated the old homepage too.

And, am I the only one that wouldn't mind an option to change the username?

It would save me the debate of should I or should I not make a whole new channel just for the sake of the username.

I would like the option to change the username. But the problem is, is that I don't really need the option now. However I wouldn't of minded a name change when I started. My old channel that was with other people had 44 subs, he gave up on that channel so I wouldn't of minded on stealing it and making it my own as that had a good 44 subscribers on it.

good point. Unlike google, they don't do that which pisses most people off!

I disagree with asking for the people's opinion, I don't think you understand what is it to run one of the Top 10 websites in the world , you don't just ask for people's opinion that can't work.

What I would change :

- No Google+ integration, we do not want this, thanks you goodbye.
- Removing the dislike button, this is a troll tool and even if I know it can be used for good, in majority, it's just plain wrong and badly used. If you disliked something please use the comment section.
- Stop relying on external partnership. I'll give YouTube the ability to have it's own economical ecosystem , where you can get up to 15$ CPM with a regular YouTube Partnership. As a company, it doesn't make sense for them that they have to rely on external network (Machinima etc..) to pay their own content creators.
- FrontPage would be a mix of "Most Viewed videos from last 24H" and "Most Viewed videos from last 24h from small channels" , let me explain :

Instead of having always the same people out there, if a channel with small subscribers makes a video that goes to a number of view that his number of subs would not normally get (example : 600 subscribers - 20.000 views) it also gets frontpage.

That way we have a frontpage that consists of 10 videos, 5 from YouTube celebrities and 5 from upcoming stars that just made outstanding work.
