If it's too good to be true...

I Love YTtalk
it probably is. Earlier this week I ordered a Canon t5i because I wanted to improve the quality of my Youtube videos. I ordered it "New" off ebay at a reasonable price, 5-10% of amazon price. Got the camera and it came with all sorts of problems: freezing, errors, won't recognize the lens, won't turn off, warranty didn't match the body no., etc. The seller had a very good rating (99%) but the bad feedback was bad and had I read it beforehand I wouldn't have made the purchase. Amateur mistake.

To add to my list of problems, now I can't find the charger for my original point and shoot camera. Moral of the story here is be careful of ebay and if it's too good to be true it probably is.

As soon as I saw the title I wanted to put a comment which was "...it probably is" but you beat me to it! You should be able to open up a case against the seller and return the item.

I have opened a case. I'm just really disappointed because it is my first DSLR and was really looking forward to using it.

You could take it to be repaired but then you'd probably get charged the same price of the camera...always real the reviws, people ;)

Reasons why I don't use eBay (or have a girlfriend), Mom told me there are bad people on there, who take your money and give you a broken product in return, or in other cases nothing at all.

That's why I've stuck with Amazon since 98. It's just too risky to me. I'd rather pay full price for something and know I'm getting a new, quality product.

Just report it and eBay will deal with it :D

This exact same thing happened to me, although on a smaller scale, with old pokemon games. I literally bought seven different ones and they were all fake :/
