1 Million Subscribers is such an iconic milestone that you really do need to do something special but also.... something personal.
Doing a video that has a tinge of a personal feel to it (especially for such a big milestone) is - I feel - the most important part of creating a 1 million subscriber thank you. For me, the ideal 1 million subscriber video needs to have the following in it for me:
- An aspect of the content that you have never done before
- An aspect of the content that shows off a little of who you are and your personality
- Topping all of your previous content before hand
I feel that for 1 million subs, I would want to create a short film that would be what I would want to call my best work I have ever done. I would put months of planning into it, accumulate a huge budget, generate an original yet compelling script and I would arrange a cameo in the short film for myself (something small). I have always maintained that I will never be the main subject of any of my short films, simply because for short films and filmmaking - I prefer to be behind the camera, not in front of it. I am not an actor.
So to tick all my boxes, I would have a short film that would be better than any short film I have done before (from a story, cinematographic and quality standpoint) and I would have my own cameo as not only an aspect of the content that I have never done before but also an aspect of the content that would show of a little of me and my personality.
But meh... Guess i'll find out if I ever do reach that milestone.
