What I hope for, though, is that you do gain success regardless of your motive, so if people do watch, then more power to you. But. If you make your videos for you, because you like to make videos, then whether or not people watch you shouldn't make any sort of difference. If you're happy making videos, and you're making videos, then you're happy, simple as that

What's important to take away from this, and what I started this rant for, is what happens when you make videos for the sake of making videos. If that is your one true motive, then your videos have so much more flavor, so much more personality. Isn't personality what people look for in an entertaining channel? When you stop caring what people think of your personality, you drop the entertainer charade and become a real person in the video. People don't want to watch a hollow character, they want someone to relate to with real, unbridled and genuine emotion.

If you become successful because you wanted to become successful, congratulations, you have accomplished what many of us only dare to dream. I only encourage you to entertain more. If, perchance, you became successful without even trying, if people happened to like watching you for YOU, isn't that so much more satisfying? Doesn't it mean so much more if people love you for doing something you love, not for doing something you worked to achieve?

Sometimes, the journey IS the destination.

Totally agree with you man. having fun is the name of the game. Gaining an audience is an added bonus.
 
You have to learn to appreciate the little things, I mean it's good to have a goal but don't let that goal define your channel. It's like I always say; Life is short, enjoy your sneezes.
 
This is very true, sure I want people to watch my videos, sure I want to make people laugh. But at the end of the day, it just matters of how much the people around me and myself enjoy the video. If I can make one person besides myself laugh, I consider it a job well done. :)
 
The problem is these days, everyone makes a youtube channel thinking they will make it big. 99.9999% don't know how to put out good content.

though sometimes it's everyone else who doesn't watch Youtube for nothing other than more COD, Minecraft or Gangnam Style/whatever is big at the time parody. Their good and original content goes on being ignored.
 
I'll just state what my channel bio says.

One subscriber or 1 million; if i can change someones day around, than numbers dont matter.
