I was at the Sci Fi Valley Con with my sweetheart Paige, when some people recognized us from our Youtube videos and our blogs. The one that really got us was when we entered a costume contest and had to leave early. We asked the staff what they could do if by some off chance we happened to win and were were already gone. One of the guys said 'I know you guys', which confused us at first until he blurted out 'You're Mark and Paige from Youtube. I'll leave you a message on your channel or your blog if you won anything'. That just blew us away. Plus people recognized us from last year's Steelcity Con video, and we hope to return to this year's and film some more and maybe run into more people that recognize us?

What are your 'recognized as Youtubers' stories?
 
That's great! :) Although, I read the title as "I got recognized as a con!" (as in con artist lol)
I have yet to have anyone ever recognize me. Granted, I don't go out too much :P
 
That cool Mark! I didn't know you did Steel City Con, I'm a Pittsburgher who has gone the past few years (not as a guest, just a fan).

My daughters got recognized once by someone at the mall, that's it.
 
None have recognized me so far, but I know my name went out to a couple people in town due to the amount of volunteer work I did at my old martial art school. They knew me, but I didn't know them :o

Not youtube related though :/
 
Thats a brilliant story :) Not sure what I would do but always imagine it going something like this.

"Hey.. I know you.... Your that fool of youtube or summit....." :redface:
 
I haven't been recognized by anyone because of my videos yet, im not in that level of YouTube famous yet
 
Congrats! It's pretty cool to be recognized!
My most unusual place to get recognized was while I was playing poker at Commerce Casino.
