I think i need to be more consistent and stick at one thing

I've been wondering why i don't seem to be able to keep subscribers, i think it's because i don't stick at one type of video, i do multiple different kinds of videos.

I want to stick at one kind of video, but i can't work out which.

Does anyone have any advice on what i should do?

I really like the special effects, clones, lightsaber videos (so really any of your After Effects videos) so if you're going to stick with one kind of video you should stick with those

I think it's okay to have different types of videos mixed together on a channel. What would help though, would be to gradually mix them instead of doing a whole bunch of different ones all at once. Start out with one type for a while then slowly add on others. (Or as you start to gain subs, you could start another channel specifically for another type.)

Though if you only want to do one, which one do you enjoy doing the most? You want to do what makes you happy else you'll end up hating to work on your channel.

You can always have multiple channels under one account. People tend to subscribe to watch one type of content.

IIRC, you were away for ages, and then started uploading again? It's probably your older subs who are suddenly seeing stuff in their feed from you for the first time in ages, but who in fact have moved on to other channels. You're sort of starting afresh I suppose, so don't look at your subcount, it's a pretty meaningless statistic tbh. - Concentrate more on uploading regular content, and yes, I'd recommend one type of content and strive to be the best at it in your style.

It's not also about keeping subscribers and making them watch your next upload.
It's about gaining as many NEW people to watch you that helps

I'm in a similar situation.
I did videos about an iphone game cause I knew people would be interested, but now I don't want to get boxed into doing JUST those types of videos - so I branched out and started doing my own thing (which is not surprising less popular).
I'd say just do the type of videos you enjoy most

I didn't check out your channel but if what CrownAcademyEnglish stated is true, that is why you are losing subs. They subscribed a while back to check you out and forgot about you. Now they have other channels that they have decided to take the time to watch.

I do recommend having a channel that has a basic theme. Whether it be your personality or the topics at hand, consistency is important.
