The original date was May 29th, and it changed, that link is from YouTube themselves, and someone here actually visited YouTube and they told him that :)
 
There's nothing that bad about the new layout.... I used it the first day it came out cuz I was messing around and I saw that it looked much better than my old one.

I'm not sure. My network posted a few weeks back that the change is happening on the 29th, but I do trust the YT creators' blog source more. :) Maybe the date was delayed to June 5th?
 
Im pretty sure its either the 5th or the 9th - Definitely not the end of May though. I recall seeing this in an email from YouTube recently, will see if I can dig it out...... ;)
