Right. So, I didn't necessarily know where to post this, but I figure I'd make a thread like this here and let the mods correct me as needed. (Thanks in advance mods!)
So, does anyone else follow channels for certain series/shows that they have, but not anything else they produce? If you're like me, the answer is probably yes. I HATE how YouTube doesn't seem to let me filter the content channels output into my subscription feed. Sometimes channels output so much content I don't want, that I unsubscribe from them entirely.
I used to be subscribed to quite a few people. I think for this specific example I'm going to use AngryJoeShow.
Now, I love Joe, and his game reviews. I just don't necessarily like his movie reviews or reactions.
That's fine. It's ok to not like every piece of content someone puts out, but I'd love the option to be able to subscribe to his playlists so that I can only see certain pieces of content from him.
If anything, I think adding a "Playlist Subscribe" would only HELP creators.
Think about it. You're uploading content, and as your subscribers grow, so does your playlist subs. So the creators could find the content that's bringing them the most attention through the # of people subscribed to individual playlists.
You can "Save" playlists, but that doesn't update you when new videos are added.
I like the idea of subscribing to these creators for certain pieces of content. Why isn't this a thing yet?
