Posting Mad!
so, i felt like I am slowly improving, however I am a month in and felt like I hit a brick wall. just 13 subs while pople are gaining 20 - 40 in their first month. I only post to youtube and that is all; I do not have friends really, no social media, no twitter etc.

Should I create one and just add random people? I do optimize my tags and title. I do add things in the descriptions and add keywords a few times "overwatch this overwatch that" i also repeat that in the tags and titles

do I just have to be patient or really getting on those social medias and posting is the way to do it

Definitely make some social media profiles my friend. I started my Twitter for my channel having no idea what the hell Twitter was or how to use it and just started adding other smaller YouTubers with similar channels and talking to them about their stuff. Hit 100 in the first month! And a lot of them are actually active which is a double plus! Now I have a Tumblr with no idea how to use it to pimp my channel haha

LOL! sweet thanks my man!! so you pretty much created twitter? how did you search for smaller youtube twitter peeps? I just dont want to come off too desperate lol

I just made a stupid page with silly posts about games and that drew a few people in. I just typed in small YouTube in the search bar because many YouTube accounts pimp the hell out of that and a bunch popped up! I just started following randoms and showing them my stuff (I don't really do that anymore because I realised it was a little annoying but if you actually show that you have watched their content first most people are more than happy to reciprocate and of course subscribe if they like it). Using hashtags can get you noticed too, I have had a few people tell me they found me by looking up #SmallYoutubers. Once you start making actual friends you can get the occasional retweet or shout out from them. I actually just gave one to a channel I like that needs more love and this lovely guy shared it so even more people will see now.

Facebook is great too. I admin several Facebook groups with some pretty strict rules to keep out link dumpers, sub4sub, and the like and I find they get me the vast majority of my traffic. And once you start interacting with other channels and making a name for yourself you get the 'hey you seem awesome, give me a link!' conversation and maybe a new active subscriber. Since you do gaming (Hi five!) try to go for gaming based groups. You will get more traffic but don't be afraid to join broad ones either.

Google+ I find is mostly link dumps. I have a few communities that aren't like that but I can't seem to find many committed groups on there. It can be helpful though I just find it is rather hard to utilise to get around the link dumpers.

Yea, you can make some social media accounts for your channel and add some other YouTubers :) , then you can maybe collaborate with someone ?
