i need to know why i cannot add an intro to my channel.

so you have your intro ready, rendered as a file yes? Just upload it to youtube and set it as your trailer, simple as Softwares that uses mp4, well some good ones are premiere pro and sony vegas, and many more, they are not free but trials can be downloaded

I suggest getting sony vegas. Its not that expensive but there are .... ways ..... of getting it for free, if you catch my drift. Im not suggesting you do that though. Pay all the way.

If he doesn't like Pirating or paying $600 for Editing Software then there are others that are cheaper and still good enough for doing videos on YouTube.

I do not suggest pirating as there's all kinds of risks that can be fatal...

Personally, I use Movie Maker to make my intros. There are ways and tutorials on how to make good ones. Just takes time as all things do
