You don't really need anyone.
I was a mess at editing when i started and also in photoshop, i literally didn't know what photoshop was and now i'm making professional edits and also a lot of people want me to edit their videos for money.
All i did was just watched a ton of youtube tutorials. Trust me, they help.
You get information piece by piece from every video.
Also remember - practice makes perfect!
