Hey, Dino. Yeah, I don't think red and black go together too well either, there's just not enough contrast between the two. I'd say a pretty good place to start off would be to browse some fonts, and see how your channel name looks in them, considering what kind of content you want to do.
How much cash are we talking?Red and black can work together if you do it right, but it will probably take a while. Some examples of good red and black banners are Machinima's channel and FaZe Clan's channel, maybe that will help you
As you can see, adding some white with the red and black can help accent colors and make your channel look better. If you need some help, feel free to ask me to design you one, though it will cost some YT cash.
