I need advice

So i started my channel a month ago and it is growing very very very very slowly. I post daily gaming videos (and in the future i will be doing other formats). Anyone got any advice on how to grow a youtube channel ?

Go to more well known you tubers videos with the same sort of content as yourself. Comment with something funny or insightful and people will want to check your channel out due to your personality! Forums and chat sites are a great way to connect as well!

Growing a channel takes a loooong time. YOu have to remember that many of the largest channels has been doing youtube for at least 3-4 years, and when they started it was a lot smaller than it is now.

You need to work your a** of promoting it to be able to stand out.

Get to know other gamers and play with them :)
Also look at your favorite gamers and what aspects of them you like most and if you could improve that in yourself :)

For me, I got at least half my subs (and 8k views, not kidding.) asking if mod authors (Minecraft, for me) and a plugin author needed reviews/showcases/tutorials.
Personally, I ask those who do not have videos already, or relatively small mods (or other?) because the bigger it gets, the more likely someone has already made one.
While doing an old Bukkit Plugin showcase only got me ~20 subs, it was a huge leap for me (had 5 subs at the time)

As others have said, promoting is a great way. However, remember to keep it in check.
As others have said (again) co-ops and collabs are really good as well. Win-win.

Good luck! :)

It's mostly about promoting really, but not to the point where it's extremely annoying :)

The best thing is to go to channels with the same interests as you.
And don't make the conversation sound like you just want to them to subscribe to you but just a normal chat.
It's better to make friends on YouTube because if they like your videos, they will probably watch every video that you upload.
Okay my tip may not be a good one since it may not get you a bigger audience, but it's always great to have good friends on YouTube because they will support your channel and hopefully you could do the same thing back :U

Good tip, actually. If you have friends on YouTube, it could lead to collabs and other things. They will support your channel ("Hey, need me to do blurblahblur?" for example) and provide feedback. At least, I think they will. :P
