I made an error. Shall I re-up?

Curious World

I've Got It
It's a small factual error in my narration. It's obviously a mistake. I uploaded a few hours ago and have shared it across my social network. Shall I delete it and re-upload, or just let is slide and put in a correction annotation? It's driving me mad.

I've done this before. Just add an annotation.
Be prepared to have endless comments about it from mobile users though who cant see it.

Side note, I checked out your channel. It's a really cool concept, and your branding is sweet.
One big reccomendation though: I would cut to the chase much faster in your videos. I watched a couple of them (the one about jersey and the tsanami), and it was well over a minute with each of them before I even started to know what I was watching. Grab your viewers attention fast, and you'll see better audience retention. Tease them with something crazy or at least pitch the value of your video at the very very beginning.

It's obvious you're putting a lot of time into editing each video, and this would be my tip that might help you get more people seeing that hard work.
cheers mate.

Thanks for the feedback. You're probably right about the long drawn-out intros. I get that from my filmmaking heroes; Nick Broomfield, Werner Herzog, and people like that. Long arty intros to docs. I need to stop that.

Don't take me for an expert or anything. But yeah, my audience retention used to look like a dangerous ski slope before I started just getting to the point from the very beginning of a video.
Now they look like pleasant walks downhill :) ha.

Putting an ANNOTATION should be best idea, because editing that video and narrating again is quite time consuming and quality might change. Also your views will be gone if you delete the current video. So you should go for ANNOTATION.

annotation is fine. i would also leave the correction as a comment too, so mobile users can see it

regarding the intro. its definitely too long. it looks beautiful, but sadly this is youtube,. we have the patience of a mosquito (famously impatient) i watched the beast of jersey video (i lived in jersey for 10 years) and it was really interesting. but i only got through the intro because i came from YTTalk. if i had just stumbled across it i would have probably moved on[DOUBLEPOST=1454876991,1454876832][/DOUBLEPOST]by the way, on the beast of jersey video., you should remove those comments about sub for subbing. it looks horrible on such a cool looking channel:
