I just started a campaign, it costed me $5 to get an estimated 250 views per day, I'm still in the process of getting it approved so we'll see if those views are actually going to happen.

Okay, I hope for you it's working out. Thank you for your information.

Reason why is, I've heard terrible stories from people using Adwords promoting their own videos. Like using $50 to get some ads, and having very low view counts. 140 views and 2 subs or something.

So I hope I'm wrong, because $5 for 250 views is not a bad deal in my opinion.
 
I don't believe adwords are legit in the slightest.

You pay YouTube and a number on their site increases. There is no actual way to verify these are real views, and from what everyone has said on these forums you don't get activity/subscribers (real people) just that number. When was the last time you saw an ad for someones channel before a video? Because I don't think I ever have.

I actually always see them but i press "skip" lol You're right thought people watch your video or at least are forced to watch the first 15 seconds of it and that will count as a view and then they press skip. unfortunately I haven't heard many people say they got subscribers out of it.
 
The money your spending on views would be much more beneficial going towards better equipment, Then when your happy with your video quality and have more money, make an add
But do it strategically make something people will want to subscriber after seeing, No point sticking a random video up their cause youll get the view but people are gonna click away asap
