I just don't know what to do....

I've Got It
Basically, I do comedy/trolling. It's different than what others do, you basically don't even need to like video games to enjoy it because it's all reactions from people.

Don't get me wrong, I love doing it and I won't stop, but now GTA has come out and I really wanna utilize this tool that is GTA.

Some people think that games will make them popular. "Oh well if I play a game all the big youtubers are playing! I must get noticed!". But in reality it's like "I play what I want, people like my personality and they should enjoy any game I play because they watch it for me". - I'm not actually saying that about myself, but it's the way it is with more successful people.

So, it may seem like I'm taking this seriously, but I've put a lot of time in my channel and now I'm confused as to which avenue I should pursue.

A. I continue only trolling with the possibility of not enjoy what I do as much considering how badly I'd wanna make content in GTA.
B. Try out a few videos and see what people think, but still do the trolling.

You see, I uploaded one and I even had a kid call me a "Puppet". Gamers - WHO DOESN'T LIKE GTA?

There are so many other games I've passed up that were hugely popular, I am far from a puppet.

What do you guys think? As the saying goes - Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

I think about that from a different perspective. In this case it's different. Say your channel is a seed. If you dedicate pouring your water into that, it will grow into something great. If you have plenty of seeds and only so much water, the growth and well-being of your plant/channel will suffer.

What I'm saying is - I thought about starting a new channel, but what if there was a way to just merge it? I'm still being comedic....

Now, a problem I see all the time is someone who has like, 5K subs and only gets a tiny percentage of views on the videos because they have a ton of different categories, but the subscribers are split up so badly the views suffer. So Far I've done ONE thing and one thing only.

I don't like... resent the people who watch me or anything, but do you see where I'm coming from? You want to express yourself and post something a bit different that you like, but you can't because it's not your typical stuff!

There's nothing wrong with trying and seeing what sticks. I've got a separate gaming channel that also focuses on the comedy angle. I don't even show any gameplay, really. I just rant out of my a**. I've noticed that a large portion of the gaming youtube community are children that don't understand sarcasm though, so it's kind of a crapshoot anyway. I don't think there's any issue with giving it a shot.

Yeah man I hear you ! Thanks for the advice!

It's just hard to let your viewers know that just because you're expanding, it doesn't mean your inconsistent.
