I have cammtasia, but its getting sucky, what else is there that can do the same things?

i got camtasia a while ago, and at first, it was amazing, it edited fast, uploaded fast, and was just pretty cool in general. but now, the video im diting doesnt want to play when im editing it, and when im finally done, it takes many many hours to upload a short video, and when idone recording my computer gets stuck when it tries to save the video. what do i do, do i get something else? or is there a way to fix these problems?

I use FRAPS to record, Sony Vegas to edit and Youtube to upload (I could use vegas but I like sticking to the basics)

if you dont mind i recommend Sony Vegas as that is so much Reliable than camtasia and has far more options to customize your video any way youd want it to be

For a Windows PC, you can't really beat Fraps for the actual recording side of things. If you're running a Mac, Screenflow is simply amazing for both recording and editing (I refuse to use anything else!)

Cam Studio is a free option for windows computers. Definitely worth a look.

Doesn't Vegas use a lot of resources? I only ask because I have the same problem with Camtasia. Its been lagging while editing. It produces fine, just lag during editing. Isn't Vegas more powerful than Camtasia?

This is a tech support issue. If it used to be fast and now it isn't, your issue will be computer related. Is it just Camtasia that isn't as quick as it used to be?

no i figured it out, my cousin had been playing around on my computor and messed up a bunch of setting for things. this was one of the results.
