Any embedding counts. If you post it in facebook, twitter, google+, YTtalk, in a blog etc... It counts as a view if they watch the embedded video.

Where ever you post your video which could be here, Facebook, Twitter, Google+ etc counts as a view as long as the video links back to YouTube so if you have embedded it from YouTube (From the share tab under the video) in a small link or an <iframe> code it all counts as a view!

Until they play the video, it won't add a view to your video.
