I have a question for guys...

You could also set a schedule of how often you're going to release each type of video. Then organize them into playlists so those who only want to see certain types of videos have easy access to them.
 
So, I just woke up after sleeping on the couch for the past 3 hours and saw this thread, and decided to take a picture of myself and photoshop make up on it and make some smart a** reply. Note to self: never do that, since it ended up looking like a child of Cthulhu and sarah jessica parker.

But on topic, go for it, since it is your channel and if you enjoy whatever you want to do, go for it : ) As long as YOU are having fun and racking in the views, do it, since you know, its YOUR channel :P (see, keyword of the day is YOU, here )

Some of the Youtubers I follow started doing makeup tutorials.

I didn't mind. I haven't watched them, as I am not a big user of concealer but it doesn't make me avoid their channel - I still watch their other stuff :)

Shoot for whatever demographic you want. If the people unsub you will have people to replace em at some point. Just do what you want to do because "if you follow the leader nobody will follow you!"
 
I'm gonna agree with the majority here, do what you wanna do.
If your audience is in it for you and your personality they'll stick around, plus make up videos may bring in a completely new audience!
i'd say, you cant go wrong :D
