I got a Content ID claim that wasn't even in the video?

I sing and vlog stuff
So, I got a Content ID claim on a song/video.
my friend recorded the audio, yet for some reason Content ID recognized it as this German song... which was rather confusing. We didn't sing in German. Or had anything to in German.
I tried to dispute it, but there were no choices that the claim was incorrect.
Sorry no screenshot, I took the down the video and thankfully no copyright strikes.

I'll be contacting Fullscreen support and see what they come up with.

But has this happened to anyone?
 
Yes, I have had strange copyright claims on videos as well and I created 100% of the content. I disputed it and the claim was dropped.
 
Yeah it happens sometimes most likely it was automatically matched and all you need to do is dispute it and they'll most likely drop it if you calmly explain the content isn't in the video. There sould be an option for something like "The claimed content isn't in the video" But you never really know with the youtube copyright system they could keep claiming and give you a strike
 
Yeah, you should definitely try and dispute it, if it's all of your original content!! That's crazy!
 
All you can really do is dispute it. Nevertheless, YouTube is king and we are mere servants. Whether they are wrong or not whatever they say goes Im afraid, even if its clearly wrong. All we can do is suck it up and go along with it! They dont care as much for us small YouTubers as they go for larger channels, since we do not bring them any revenue!
