I Feel Held Back by my Computer

So, I'd like to be a more gaming geared channel, but the fact that all I have is a laptop that is gradually starting to show its age, I can't play games and screen capture at the same time. It's making me feel pigeon holed into doing readings, so far only LoL lore readings and I've only made two since it isn't really what I really want to be making but I want to make something. Does anyone have any interesting video ideas? I don't want to sound like I'm looking for handouts but I can't think of anything I could do within the limits that my computer allows. Oh, yeah if you're wondering how bad it could be, I can't play on vanilla minecraft servers.

Realistically, if you can't capture at 720p in atleast 30-40 fps, you won't get much people's attention. And a slow computer with an even slower hard-drive would strive to keep up with that even while playing any game of the sort.

I would recommend slowly investing in computer parts every week until you have all of them and assemble your own computer. Or slowly save and go buy a cheap gaming computer off of craigslist.

Save for a new computer. In the meantime you can focus on retro games or make a comedy out of playing new games on a really crappy system. Need to be very funny to keep peoples attention though. act like this is how its supposed to be played etc

I have much of the same problem, I'm going to stick with indie games now, which I enjoy, and at some point somehow invest in a good PC that can play everything i'd want it to.

In order for you to do the best you need to upgrade your quality. You can build a gaming rig for as little as $300. Mow a few lawns, ask for a birthday present ect. You can make it happen if you are really wanting to do this =)

Upgrading is the best idea. But you could also try playing some older games, or maybe some indie games if you like that sort of thing. There are some really good indie games that don't require a beast PC. But upgrading would be the best solution.

From my experience with this I would say try to sort out a new laptop! I had NO idea how much my old one was holding me back, when I got my new one my edits were drastically improved and I was enjoying the whole process much more! Admittedly you're a gamer and I'm a vlogger so we have different processes, but seriously.. get saving ;)

you should consider building a computer, or upgrading it. if it old than the parts shouldn't be expensive
