Seriously. If you know anything about promoting videos on reddit, you have to follow the 10% rule. 10% of submission can be your own work. And they have to be link submissions, not comments.
So... that would mean that promoting your own videos that you have worked hard on and posting in relevant subreddits gets looked down upon/removed/even shadowbanned if you're unlucky, but posting OTHER people's work doesn't have any repercussions?
I get why they do this. Stopping spam and all that. But if you want to post your own s**t you have to post other peoples s**t but the stuff worth posting everyone else is racing to do it. So you either make 1000 pointless reposts that have already been made, or be respectful and do nothing, which punishes you harder.
What the hell am I missing here?
