I was clearing out videos on my channel as I didn't need those videos anymore but my total channel views stayed the same.. I thought deleting videos decreased views...
I deleted videos but total channels views did not decrease

Did the same, the viewcount wen't down after a few days.

It will take a few days for your view current view count to show up. Unless you just private those videos than the view count stays the same.

no I deleted them as them didn't fit the theme of my channel anymore
