First hate comment is a milestone, right? We're all gonna get them eventually; I see them as a sort of "rite of passage". The fact that someone was actually emotionally charged by you enough to bother to write out a mean comment for no apparent reason means you must be doing something right. I think it is a sign that people are starting to see you as a Youtuber.
So today, I received my first hate comment:
I've gotten plenty of positive comments as well as "neutral" comments, but never one that is just hateful for no reason. From my odd perspective of the world, I see this as a milestone of sorts. How you deal with your first hate comment(s) will shape a part of who you are as a Youtuber: you can take them personally and allow them to discourage you, or you can accept any legit criticism (if there is any, that is), then laugh about it and be proud that you're starting to go through something that all Youtubers go through
Does anyone else want to share their first hate comment(s) and how they dealt with it? I'm sure this is a topic for which most new Youtubers want advice; I know I do.
