How to work social media?

So I have decided to really try at my youtube channel again. I have been really slacking because of school and I remember one of my biggest problems being that I didn't know how to use social media for youtube very well. I didn't know how often to post or what to post exactly. I could really use some tips and tricks. Please and thank you.

Someone that I really recommend watching is Gary Vaynerchuk as he is a social media mogul and knows all about it. He's got great advice on what you should and shouldn't do when it comes to social media marketing. The main thing though is probably frequency and consistency. When putting images on Instagram too, it really helps if you are putting up images that are taken from a good camera and are edited well! There is so much competition out there that you need to try your best to be the best!
