How To Twitter? help

Well I still consider my channel small... But some might say it is relatively successful. However I struggle when it comes to gaining a following on twitter. I've tried sending my subs over but it harder than it seems. I've been stuck in the 300 followers range for quite a long time, probably 2 months now. Thats only 10% of my youtube subscribers! so my question is how do I grow my twitter account? I've got the YouTube part running smoothly, but just cant crossover very well.

Don't ever expect every single subscriber to follow you on twitter, in actuality, only about 10% will follow you.
You have to think about the factor that not a lot of your subscribers may even have a twitter to begin with, and if they do they might just not wanna put in the effort to go and follow you. Unfortunately that's how things work with social media/:
It works the same way with YouTube, you may have a video with 10,000 views, but you, in the end can stay at 50 subscribers.

Yea I totally understand that, and I dont expect all my subs to follow me. Thats why im asking for other ways of improving my twitter account. Thanks though

You have 10% and you're complaining?! I can barely manage to get 5% of my subscibers on twitter. But yeah. This^ I noticed the more I post the more I get followers. But your twitter following shouldn't matter, at least it doesn't for me because I don't rely on it to get me views and subs, etc.

Promote your twitter handle in your videos or on your page
Be consistent , make good tweets
Interact with followers as much as possible

Most people tweet into the black hole of nothingness that is twitter. A simple rely or favorite or retweet really makes them feel good.

if you've got the youtube part running well then why would you be concerned about twitter? i think i'd just suggest keep going the same way with youtube and just with each video put twitter annotation or link in description and thats all. keep updating your twitter whenever you upload a new video and you'll be fine. i think i talk more sh!t on twitter than update people about my youtube channel but hey makes me happy. good luck!

If you're focusing on youtube and interacting with subscribers you can't expect much more of a following than you already have. 10% of your subscribers to follower ratio is really pushing it. If you're hoping to gain a following from twitter to just interact with anyone and everyone about anything apart from your youtube, you're going to have to take similar steps as getting your channel to 3k subs. People are trying to become popular on twitter just like youtube and instagram and every social media site ever. It'll take time before you'll gain a following or gain a big enough following on youtube for that to crossover.

Put your twitter in the description box of your videos cause then people will see it and be like oh hey look twitter rather than feeling like you're trying desperately to get more followers by promoting your twitter in your video, you know?
If you make friends on twitter it honestly helps cause then you get retweets and more people see your stuff, and more people follow you!
Making your twitter as personal as possible helps if you're a youtuber cause I know that I personally would rather see a picture someone's taken while they're out having fun than a generic, vague, impersonal tweet, you know what I mean? Plus it makes people feel more like they know you so they get more attached and follow you more closely which, again, means more favourites and retweets and all that good stuff
I don't know why I'm giving advice on this stuff I don't have that many twitter followers haha idk
