hey man honestly dont worry about it. i started youtube 5 years ago with my old channel and i spend close to 3000 dollars on my camera and equipment. my parents thought it was huge waste of time (and money) but now i am a partner i have sponsors and im making money from it. there are far worse things you can do then youtube
I just bluntly told my parents and about all the plans I had. They were a bit hesitant at first, but I managed to convince them. They're now really interested in the progress I make haha.
Just tell them man, nothing to worry about. If making youtube videos is something you love to do, just go for it. Parents love to see their kids doing things what make them happy. (unless it has to do something with hard drugs or other crime stuff)
