How to tell if you're botted?

I recently uploaded a video that got over 1000 views since I uploaded it last Saturday. The video's about the trailer for the one hour season finale to the new Nick TMNT show. I didn't show the actual trailer, I put a link to it in the description, so the video is actually about our thoughts and expectations of the finale. Now yes, I did post this on a big TMNT forum so I assume many of them went to see it, and I assume other fans throughout youtube searched for TMNT stuff and whatnot, but I'm still surprised. I mean I'm lucky if my other videos get to 100 and anything I get near to 1000 are over the course of several months or even a solid year.

So I'm enjoying the views, and I know most if not all of them are just to see the trailer than to listen to what we have to say... but are the views legit or are they bots?

i think when a video get 301+ views, youtube count them and delete botted views. every view after that is checked by yt too.

So youtube checks them for me? Then how come I hear all these stories from other people being either banned or booted off their networks for being botted? Or is it because their views were insanely fast?

You can usually tell by your view to comment to like ratio. But it's never fool proof.[DOUBLEPOST=1374995151,1374995012][/DOUBLEPOST]

Some bots can actually get pass the system. It depends. If you're caught with a botted video you can get banned on youtube. Youtube automatically concludes you're the one that botted your own account.

Usually when there is a sudden surge of views in a relatively short amount of time. (e.g. 1k-10k views in about the span of just half a day when most videos typically get around 20-30 views per day) Also, check out the analytics to see where most of the views are coming from as well.

Well, it seems to get about 2-300 views a day. It's now at 1292 but again, it took a whole week to get like that, not a day or two. I only got like 8 comments or two, but they're from all new people, not my usual fans. Like I said, it could just be people clicking on the video to get to the trailer link.
