How to sound more energetic?

There probably isn't really one thing you can do to immediately sound more energetic/enthusiastic or whatever, but are there any techniques or something to help?

Please reply with what you should do to sound more energetic/enthusiastic.

Thanks for reading! Peace!

This is what I've found. In my vlogs I have to play characters, often times I'm winging it off the cuff and I have to be funny while I do it. I don't always feel like these characters, I'm not always in the mood to bring them out. So what I do is I kind of... it's gonna sound weird but it's like "fake it till you make it" or like "believe it till you see it". Like, I silence all doubtful thoughts. I tell myself "I'm about to knock this out of the park" I imagine myself nailing the vlog the way I envision it in my head, I get a really clear mental image of what this would look like, and then sometimes I will turn the camera on and leave it recording for a few minutes with me sitting there envisioning this.

I do this because what I've found is that often times the very act of pressing record stops the "vibe" or the "energy" in me, it's that very act of "I wasn't being captured, now I'm being captured" So I simply turn record on, and then prepare myself mentally right there in front of the camera while it's recording, the moment that I suddenly go "ok, I'm ready to do this" I don't have to change a thing, I just have to open my mouth and talk.

You cannot fake these things or people sense it, you have to believe them until you become them. If you're feeling draggy? Just keep telling yourself you're not and envisioning and acting like you're not, until you legitimately aren't. I'd give these things a shot they seem to work for me.

Do you make other people thumbnails?

No, I do not. I guess I could though but I'm not the best at thumbnails, just a warning.[DOUBLEPOST=1373507375,1373507288][/DOUBLEPOST]

After a hard 1.2 seconds of thinking. I thought of the best way. Monster Energy. Also to make it sound professional make sure to have a clear throat before recording. Think of something funny while talking to sound happy. Have fun while talking. Don't be nervous :)

Thanks for the advice! :)[DOUBLEPOST=1373507553][/DOUBLEPOST]
Well it depends.

Unscripted ~ Just relax and pretend like there is no camera or recording device. When I play Madden I get WAYYY into it, and that's how it should be haha.

Scripted ~ Rehearse a few times and pick places that should be exaggerated. Sound normal and not like a robot.

Alright, thanks!

I have this problem as well. I think I am getting better the more videos I make though, so hopefully we will both improve in time and get more adjusted to make energetic and entertaining videos :).

I need help with this too. I feel I am improving with each video but as the saying goes: Rome wasn't built in a day.

I Think Energy Is Something That Comes Naturally And Can Not Be Told How To Do It

That Or Drugs :depressed2: (I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS ONE )

LOL I totally disagree with your first sentiment, but thoroughly enjoyed the second so I liked the post anyway hahaha

And seeing as so many people feel this way, I think we need a support group. j\k
