I gotta nerd ya for a sec. Pewds got popular by YT's old and broken promotion system, which was number of views. Then he used today's system of retention time, which was huge since gaming videos were long. He also got promoted in each country he moved to, separately.

SO the only thing to blame Pewds for getting popular, is the YouTube bots
