So it a simple sentence that has a complex way of screwing up your videos. Reviewing game is something I have taken up in recent months and I must say there is a lot to learn. First I wanna start by saying do not just screen cap something and record your opinion over it. First off you will most likely say way to many uh and um because your ad-live. second it is boring. First you must play the game completely. Even if it is terrible. It sounds like a hassle, I know but it will help formulate your thoughts when you have to script it. When it come to recording of game play make sure you have a sizable chunk to work with. The amount of game play depends on the game. For example say I do a review on final fantasy those are large games. so you may end up with 5-10 hours of important or usable footage. Depending on specs and recording software/ hardware, This can become very annoying so keep a usb handy just in case. Now after you finish experiencing a game right down some key things or make a rough draft. Then just sit on it for a day or two. This way you can formulate your thoughts better maybe play the best or worse parts again then write the final draft. Now once you have a script record your voice. you may be able to record the review in one take. If you screw up and said something really good you can edit yourself to hopefully sound natural. Now me personally I record many takes but every time I screw up I delete the recording and go again. I do this a few times. by few I mean ALOT. Then when I finally do it as perfect as I can I use that audio. The most important part is editing this can make the video enjoyable or painful to sit through. Now first you need the audio then overlay The game play that relates to topic you are talking about. If it is something that cannot be shown put a lot of unique game play clips over that section... Now that is what I consider mandatory but there are a few extras too. Music is nice to have in the background make sure it is low so you can here your voice also I recommend just muting game audio in this case. Now two record a letsplay then review it. When you record all that gameplay might as well make use of it. Make it a letsplay series or just one letsplay. I hope this helped anyone who needed a guild line now if you have tips on reviewing game just post it down below
