How to remove youtube strike?

I have another channel that has a copyright strike, and I removed the video. I think it was a mistake to remove it. Now there is no way for me to appeal the strike. Because the video is not there, there's no options listed to appeal the strike. After going in circles on YouTube's useless 'help' system, I finally found an email address for Partners to use (even though I'm not a partner): copyright@youtube.com

I emailed them 3 weeks ago and got no response, so I just emailed them again. I don't like my chances.
 
If you think you have proof that the strike was not legit then by all means try to appeal it. But in cases like this it's just pretty clear that the strike is legit and removing the video would be the only viable option.
