How To Promote..

So guys I know there are plenty of posts on how to promote but yet people seem to keep asking so either some people are not reading these posts or they want more ways..

Here are my tips and what I do to promote my videos and my channel

1. GET OUT THERE: If you are a content creator, you shouldn't be shy. So get out there and promote your channel to whoever you run into. I suggest buying business cards and keeping at least 25- 50 on you at all times, I cant tell you how many times I have started a conversation with a stranger and ended up speaking about youtube and then handing them my card so they could check me out.

2. FRIENDS & FAMILY: Everyone has friends and family. A good way to get more views and growing your audience is to ask your friends and family to help out. Ask them to share your videos with their friends, ask them to help you promote, etc.. THIS COULD REALLY BE A BIG HELP

3. SOCIAL MEDIA/TAGS: If you are on social media like twitter, facebook, instagram, tumblr..You could post your videos on there and use tags. If you have a funny video, maybe use the tag #funny. This could help bring in more people.

4. REPLY, REPLY, REPLY: This is a big one! A lot of people on youtube go around commenting on videos they enjoy but some of them do not subscribe. I noticed that when I start to comment back and reply to these people, most of them subscribe. The reason for this is because it shows two things. 1: That you are an active content creator. 2. That you take the time to reply to them instead of ignore them.

Hope this helps some of you guys and remember there are more ways to promoting but so far this is what I do and what works for me :)

Good tips bro. I especially like the 4th. So many people abuse YT comments instead of using it as an opportunity to engage others.

This is so important!! I know a lot of people who don't reply to comments I leave on their videos - I end up just feeling ignored. I'm definitely more likely to unsubscribe from a channel if I get the impression that the person is only posting their videos for attention and has no interest in communicating with his or her audience.

It's like, "Hey! If I wanted to be ignored on YouTube, I'd go leave a comment on a Jenna Marbles video!" Y'know?

Hahahahahahaha. Yep. Small YouTubers are 100% capable of replying to every (non-troll) comment they get. It's definitely understandable that big YouTubers can't reply to every single one of the thousands of comments they get, but if you're getting less than 50 comments, there's no reason not to reply.

Also another useful tool for those who have it is Top Fans, it lets you see who are your tops fans and also lets you create a group on google + for your tops fans which is another good way to share your videos!

I cannot stand Google+. Haha. Is "Top Fans" on Google or is it something different?

Let's get serious, though. Even big YouTubers who upload 1-2 videos a week and make a full-time living from it could take the time to reply to a couple hundred comments or tweets per week. No?
